| Project name: | Holistic model-driven development for embedded systems in consideration of diverse hardware architectures. |
| Short name: | HolMES |
| Duration: | 2017 - 2020 |
| Funding: | BMWi / AiF (ZIM) |
| Cooperation: | Willert Software Tools GmbH (Germany), Laser & Co. Solutions GmbH (Germany), Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Osnabrueck University of Applied Sciences (Germany), University of Osnabrueck (Germany) |
| Keywords: | Embedded software engineering, model-driven code generation, hardware architecture heterogenity, functional safety |
| Short description: | Concepts and tools are developed to support the model-driven development for embedded systems from the model level to the hardware architecture. Solutions are identified and prototypical implementations are provided to reduce the gap between high-level object-oriented models (e.g. UML) and the diverse low-level hardware levels (mostly implemented based on the imperative paradigm). A univeral hardware abstraction layer will be designed. One focus is on functional safety properties during the generation process. |
