Hyperspectral remote sensing for the assessment of crop and soil parameters in precision farming and yield estimation - Hyland

Logo HyLand
Coordinators:

Dr. Thomas Jarmer (University Osnabrück),
Dipl.Geogr. Bastian Siegmann (University Osnabrück)

Project partner: Dr. Thomas Selige (TU München),
Dr. Holger Lilienthal (Julius Kühn-Institut),
Jun.-Prof. Dr. Bernhard Höfle (Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg)

The joint research project HyLand is a preparation project for the hyperspectral German satellite mission EnMAP (Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program) and develops innovative techniques to derive crop and soil parameters from hyperspectral remote sensing and terrestrial laser scanning data as input parameters for novel yield estimation models. Yield estimations of new quality will be expected by coupling of hyperspectral data and plant growing models.

Duration: 01/11/2010 - 31/01/2014
Funding:

Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) / German Aerospace Center (DLR)
