| Hinweise zur VeranstaltungThis Seminar will cover topics from the field of Computational Geometry. This includes in particular efficient algorithms and data structures to deal with the underlying fundamental tasks and problems that occur in countless applications whenever spatial data is to be dealt with, from robotics over computer-aided design and chip design to geographic information systems. We will make use of the book "Computational Geometry" by Mark de Berg et al. (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-540-77974-2) No special prior knowledge (beyond mandatory BSc courses) is expected. The seminar (incl. talks and reports) will be in English. The Seminar Talks will be held in March 2025; the precise date will be agreed on later. The Seminar Reports will have to be handed in at the end of January 2025. Individual topics can be chosen at the introductory meeting on 05.11.2024 16:00. |
