Beschreibung

Computer game development is in need of general solutions that allow to create entertaining and believable behavior for non-player characters in social situations. The goal of this study project is to create one or more plug-ins that extend the multi-agent life simulation NEEDSIM. An ambitious secondary goal is to quickly publish a beta version, so that the plug-in can evolve with feedback not only from the usability lab, but from game developers. Thus the focus will be on practical solutions that allow game designers to efficiently express themselves. A tutorial for the game engine UNITY 3D will be offered, and one or more challenges from the artificial intelligence and software usability problem spaces will be picked at the start of the project.
