RTFD to HTML <>=--------------=<> This is release 1.4 of the rtfdtohtml program, a command line tool for converting existing documents from the Rich Text Format to HTML. It supports both RTF and RTFD files created on NeXTSTEP or OPENSTEP systems. It is based on (and requires to run) the rtftohtml-filter by Chris Hector (cjh@cray.com). It also requires Perl version 4 or 5. rtfdtohtml adds the following features to rtftohtml: o support for the complete NeXT-European character set o different font sizes and colors o conversion of inline images to GIF, JPEG or PNG format o hypertext links and markers o HTML-3.2 tables o optional navigation panels o automatic index generation o hypertext links in TextEdit Read the manual pages and the file doc/Users-Guide for more information. All manual pages are now also available in HTML format. The quality of the generated output has been significantly improved since version 1.3. The program has been tested on Linux, HP-UX, NeXTSTEP 3.3 and OPENSTEP (Mach), but it should run on almost any UNIX-like system.
